The following description comes from the event organizer.
Welcome! This event is in person at Dance Underground every Sunday morning from 10:30am- 12:30.Ecstatic Dance Seattle is a place for people to authentically and safely express themselves. It is a space free of judgment and instruction. It is a place to feel, move and heal, so that we can manifest our true selves. The music is primarily world beat but we always throw in some swing, pop, classical or funk.
We leave our shoes and conversation off the dance floor.
You are welcome to come at 10:15am to warm up and sign a waiver if you are new. We dance for 75 minutes.
No dance experience necessary. It's a really great workout that's fun!
There is an altar for sacred space (I always like to say "Whatever an altar is to you")
We do a beautiful sharing circle at the end of dance.
This is a substance free dance.
