The following description comes from the event organizer.

Join us this spring for Family Saturdays! Explore how history connects us all during this hour-long story time program designed for children ages 4 to 10 and their friends and families.

This month’s book: Baseball Saved Us by Ken Mochizuki tells the story of Japanese-American incarceration through the eyes of a young boy and his baseball team. We’ll read about his experiences, and learn about what he had to leave behind when his family was incarcerated. Then we’ll discover some of the artifacts that were brought to camp or made in camp, and you’ll have the chance to explore the story further through imaginative play.
