Portland-based "2nd line" group the Big Butter Brass Band is kicking off a series of shows at the Starday Tavern. Blending their west cost influence with the sounds of New Orleans, the funky tuba basslines and dazzling percussionists lay down the grooves for your soul that propel the city's top jazz musicians to jam out on trumpet, sax and trombone.
