Portland is a basketball city. If you need proof, let me point you to the fact that we've hosted the Nike Hoop Summit since 2008, bringing the best basketball-playing high school seniors from around the country to compete against world teams of the top international players 19 and younger. Thirty-seven Hoop Summit alums have been recognized as NBA All-Stars, including KD, Kyrie Irving, and Zion Williamson (whose recent viral alley-oop slam might just earn him the "Dunk of the Year" award).
