The latest entry in SIFF's Reel Black: Soulgenre screening series, which spotlights often-overlooked Black genre filmmakers, is Michel Ocelot's '98 film Kirikou and the Sorceress. The mystical animated flick follows an African village that's been afflicted by a curse, and the villager who journeys to a "forbidden mountain" to get to the root of the issue.
