Colibri by Tamale Boy List
Tamale Boy owner Jaime Soltero soft opened this Sinoloan-inspired spinoff (named for the Spanish word for "hummingbird") in the Pearl District at the end of March. The menu features dishes like birria and grits, tacos gobernador, and the famed specialty chilorio (slow-cooked pork fried in chili sauce)—as well as Soltero's signature tamales.

This upscale Korean restaurant opened at the end of March, serving dishes like bibimbap and galbitang.

The High Ground List
The team behind XO Bar List debuted this mezcal and tequila cocktail bar in Hillsboro last month, with a menu of tacos and a rooftop deck perfect for all your spring weather needs. Drinks range from the Haitian daiquri (Rhum Barbancourt, lime, pineapple, demerara, and Peychaud's bitters) to classic margaritas.

Äniks List
London-raised chef Ryley Eckersley (formerly of Quaintrelle List ) plans to open this eclectic tasting menu destination in the former Opal 28 List space on April 17.

Bark City List
Good news for anyone who mourned the loss of pitmaster Michael Keskin's acclaimed barbecue cart Bark City after Keskin moved to Arizona in 2022: Keskin is back in town and is set to reopen Bark City on Northeast Alberta in late May or early June.

Bridgetown Bites reports that this Roseburg-based meadery plans to expand to Sellwood soon.

World Foods 10 Year Anniversary Past Event List
The Pearl District's family-owned specialty grocer World Foods is throwing a bash to mark a decade of business. They'll go all out with appearances from brewers, vendors, and winemakers, plus sidewalk grilling, cocktail specials, and other festivities.

Filipino Food Month Remind List
Your April just got way more delicious: Members of ALIST Consulting, Baon Kainan, Magna Kusina, and Magna Kubo have come together to present the Portland area's inaugural Filipino Food Month, featuring a collaboration between over 26 small local businesses. Each week, 15 different locations between Beaverton and Troutdale will offer fresh food and drink specials highlighting a different classic Filipino ingredient, complemented by "historical and personal storytelling" online to lend additional cultural context. With participants like GrindWitTryz, Makulit, Shop Halo Halo, Sun Rice, Sugarpine Drive-In, and more, this culinary crawl promises to be as mouthwatering as it is educational.

The Portland Mercury's Pizza Week is back, giving pizza lovers the chance to get special slices from some of Portland's finest purveyors of pizza pies... for a mere three dollars each! That's right: Each slice is just THREE MEASLY DOLLARS or, at participating venues, a WHOLE PIE for $24. (You heard correctly: Once again this year certain Pizza Week participants may also be offering $24 whole pies along with slices—or whole pies alone!)
