Welcome to Capitol Hill Modern, Phase II walking tours! This tour and photowalk will focus on Washington State’s first licensed Black architect Benjamin F. McAdoo Jr. - some of his original works as well as mid-century remodels of older buildings by him and other architects. Along the way, you will learn the why and how of citizen architectural photography. Led by historian Tom Heuser and photographer Lana Blinderman. We will meet by Cafe Ladro at the corner of 15th Ave E and E Republican St. The tour will follow E Mercer St up and down the hill from 17th Ave E to Broadway (mostly downhill after the first stop.) We will conclude the tour at Espresso Vivace on Broadway.
Please contact us for accommodations if the tour cost is a financial burden.
